Felicia M. Henry
President

Felicia begins her first term as President for Fiscal 2008 with a strong leadership background. Felicia was Executive Vice President for Fiscal 2007. She undertook the responsibilities of chapter reporting, meetings, and overall chapter activities. Felicia began her career at Ernst & Young, LLP and is currently Manager of Internal Controls for Parker Drilling Company.
Felicia has been involved in the leadership of the NABA Houston Chapter since becoming a professional member. Prior to her role as Executive VP, she served two terms as Vice President of Community Affairs after stepping into the role mid-year Fiscal 2005. Her responsibilities included the community service and social activities of the chapter.
During 2004 and 2005, Felicia served as chair of the Achievement Awards Committee and coordinated NABA’s community involvement with the United Negro College Fund; Blue Triangle Multi-Cultural Community Center; and various networking opportunities. Felicia was also Co-chair of the Houston Chapter’s 2006 and 2007 Annual Scholarship and Awards Gala. In addition, Felicia has previously served as a member of NABA’s National Professional Development Committee.
Felicia is a 2003 Magna Cum Laude Graduate of Grambling State University with a Bachelor in Accounting and Management. Felicia’s dedication to NABA began during her collegiate years during which she served as President of the Grambling State University Student Chapter. Before becoming President she served as Vice President and chaired various committees. In addition, Felicia was a 2003 Recipient of the Distinguished Collegian Award, (NABA’s highest award for student members); as well as a two-time NABA National Scholar; and recipient of the Tulsa NABA Professional Chapter’s Top Merit Award. She remains involved with the development of GSU Accounting students having hosted resume and interview skills workshops and through ties with the Grambling State University Accounting Alumni Advisory Board.
Felicia’s leadership and community service outside of NABA includes membership in the Douglas L. Williams Alumni Chapter of GSU in which she has served as Business Manager. In addition, she has served as the Director of the Young Adult Community at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church. She is also a member of the Institute of Internal Auditors and Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc.
Felicia’s mission is to continue to increase Executive involvement in NABA, enhance membership benefits, and ensure that the organization continues to grow and is highly regarded in the Houston Metropolitan Area.
Eugene Padgett,

Eugene (“Gene”) Padgett, a native of Rochester, NY, is a graduate of Prairie View A&M University (Texas) following a brief stint in the United States Navy. Recently, Mr. Padgett was the Controller for Westcoast Energy Inc., a subsidiary of Duke Energy Corporation. Prior to joining Duke, Gene was an Audit Services Manager with PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP. Gene worked in the Rochester, NY office of the Firm for five years and in the Charlotte, NC office for an additional year.
Gene joined Duke Energy Corporation in the summer of 1999, and was responsible for the research of several accounting issues on a reactive basis (responding to internal questions or concerns); as well as on a proactive basis, by monitoring and implementing standard setter changes. In this role Gene implemented several accounting standards for the Company, drafted exposure draft comment letters, and even made presentations to the Financial Accounting Standards Board in Norwalk, CT. In August 2002, Gene and his family relocated to Houston and transferred with Duke to head up the accounting research function at that location. Gene has also lead the SEC reporting and Parent company accounting groups for Duke Energy, and was responsible for all accounting functions and reporting as Controller for Westcoast Energy, from 2004 - 2006.
In January 2007, the Gas Transmission segment of Duke Energy was spun-off and made public as Spectra Energy. As a result of this IPO, Gene assumed the role as GM of Corporate Accounting and Research for Spectra. The departments under Gene’s direction include the accounting functions of the corporate and parent companies, stock compensation, pension and benefits accounting, allocations of governance costs, central treasury accounting functions, captive insurance and technical accounting.
Gene has held Board positions with the American Red Cross of Greater Rochester (NY), the Black Scholars Association through the Urban League of Rochester, J.J. Christian Ministries, and the Duke Energy Volunteer Council and local chapters of the National Association of Black Accountants.
Stephanie Erwin,

Stephanie Erwin is a graduate of Texas A&M University in College Station, TX where she received her B.B.A. and M.S. in Accounting in 1998 and 1999, respectively. She currently holds the office of Treasurer on the 2008-2009 Executive Board of the NABA Houston Professional Chapter. She is also a member of the Finance Committee. In 2007- 2008, she served as Financial Secretary and on the Finance and Scholarship Gala Committees. Stephanie is a Audit Senior with Deloitte & Touche, LLP. She participates in Deloitte's recruiting efforts at Texas A&M University and also serves as Treasurer of the Black Employee Network within the Houston office.
She is actively involved in the Houston Metropolitan Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. by serving as chair of the chapter's Audit Committee. She also serves on the Advisory Council of the undergraduate chapter at Prairie View A&M University. Additionally, she attends church at Brookhollow - The Church Without Walls.
Latarsha Brazle

LaTarsha Brazle holds a Bachelor of Administration degree in accounting from Le Tourneau University in Longview, Texas and a Master of Accounting and Financial Management degree. She is preparing to sit for the CPA exam.
Latarsha began her career as a member of the accounting team at Morgan Stanley. She then quickly advanced to lead the technical Accounting department from 2000 to 2004. LaTarsha has held various leadership and management positions in which she was responsible for leading all aspects of global finance services, including accounting, treasury, audit, and financial planning and analysis, and risk management.
In LaTarsha’s current role with Chevron, she is responsible for managing operational, financial, and technology processes to ensure minimized business exposure, strengthen the internal control environment, and enhance the reliability of financial reporting.
Latarsha is an active member of the community, a member of the Institute of Internal Auditors, and a member of the Association of Women in Computing.
LaTarsha has been married for twelve years and is the proud parent of three children. Most of her evening and weekend time is spent with her children during their extra curricular activities and studying. She has managed to balance motherhood and her career.
LaTarsha brings years of leadership and decision making abilities to her new role as Financial Secretary.
Felicia

Felicia Waldon, CPA, is serving her third term as Recording Secretary for the Houston Chapter. Felicia has been a professional member of the Organization for thirteen years. Prior to joining the Houston chapter, Felicia was a member of the San Francisco chapter serving in Executive Board roles.
After graduating from California State University Hayward in 1995, Felicia worked for KPMG in San Francisco and Houston. After five years of public accounting, Felicia accepted a position as Financial Analyst at Compaq now Hewlett Packard. Felicia is currently a Contract Accountant at Hewlett Packard who fulfills the same responsibilities of a controller, financial analyst and a business consultant on large complex programs. Felicia is married to John Waldon and is a proud parent of three kids Sydnee, Hunter and Madison. Felicia additionally serves as the Treasurer of Hunter’s elementary school PTO and the team mom of Sydnee’s middle school Volleyball team.
Nicola Bailey

Nicola Bailey graduated from The University of Houston in 2006 with a BBA in Accounting and Finance and a minor in Spanish. She became a student member of NABA in 2004 and became a professional member in 2007. While at the University of Houston, she was also member of Expectations, a mentoring program which serves inner city teens. Nicola is currently a Tax Accountant with a local firm in Houston and plans to attend Law School to become a Tax Attorney.
Charles D. Carter

Charles D. Carter is a 30-year member of the Houston Chapter and a Lifetime
Member of the Association. He considers himself the link between the “new” and
the “seasoned” members of the Houston Chapter. Charles served as the Houston
Chapter president from 1997 – 1999 when the chapter was recognized as a Division
I winner for chapter evaluations in successive fiscal years. Charles was
appointed as the Western Region’s first Parliamentarian and is noted for
ensuring southern hospitality is a mainstay of the
chapter to all
visitors.
As the Houston Chapter celebrates its 36th year of existence in 2007, Charles pledges to concentrate his efforts on recruiting current and past “seasoned” members to comprise an effective Advisory Board, as well as to issuing the first archive publication for the Houston chapter.
Charles is a 16 year financial alumnus of Shell Oil Co. and currently is the Vice President for Administration & Comptroller at ARocket Relocation Services, a full service moving and storage company in the Houston area and one of the largest minorityowned companies in the Houston area. Charles is a 1974 summa cum laude accounting graduate of Southern (Mighty Jaguars) University in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. In his spare time he loves to travel.
William North, III, CPA

William is a Vice President/Division Administrative Manager for the Private Client Group at Stanford Group Company. He has over 10 years of experience in the Financial Services industry along with another 5 years of audit experience at the Bank of America and PricewaterhouseCoopers.
William has been an active member of NABA since 1995, previously serving as Director of Student Affairs in the Miami Chapter and Vice President of Administration and President in the Houston Chapter. As a seasoned member with a wealth of knowledge, William plans to assist the new President in all her efforts to grow the membership of the Houston Chapter and keep the Chapter financially sound. He believes that a large and active membership roster will allow the Chapter to better meet its objective and obligation of “Lifting As We Climb”.
William holds a Bachelor’s of Business Administration in Accounting from Howard University and is a Certified Public Accountant. He spends much of his spare time reading and motivating the youth to strive for excellence.
Candice
Elliott

Candice Elliott is a Staff Auditor at Williams. She has over 4 years of experience in auditing within the non-profit, consumer and industrial products and natural gas industries.
Candice began her student affiliation with NABA as a member at large. After graduation from Jackson State University in 2004, she joined the professional chapter where she served in the position of Corresponding Secretary and VP of Community Affairs. She has also served on the Student Affairs Committee and the Annual Gala Planning Committee and assisted with the Regional Student Conferences.
In her current position as the VP of Community Affairs, Candice plans to continue the Houston Chapter’s involvement in the community through numerous programs including the Money Sense Financial Literacy campaign, the Volunteer Income Tax Program and the Accounting Career Awareness Program.
Outside of NABA, Candice is involved with the Institute of Internal Auditors, Williams Young Professionals Business Resource Group, Williams Women’s Business Resource Group, the Houston Area Alumni Chapter of the Jackson State University National Alumni Association, and Young Professionals in Energy.
Shawntae

Shawntae Nix is a Senior Audit Consultant at Spectra Energy Corporation. She has over 4 years of experience in auditing within the mortgage banking, consumer and industrial products and natural gas industries.
Shawntae has been active in NABA since 2001 serving as the Vice President and President of the University of Houston Chapter. Upon graduation in 2002 with her Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting, she joined the professional chapter where she has served in the positions of Recording Secretary and VP of Student Affairs.
In her current position as the VP of Student Affairs, Shawntae plans to improve student chapter reporting, increase the number of scholarship recipients, and number of Distinguished Collegians in the Houston affiliated student chapters.
Outside of NABA, Shawntae volunteers her time to Big Brothers Big Sisters, the National Multiple Sclerosis Society, the Gulf Coast Regional Blood Center, and Good Hope Missionary Baptist Church.
Donzella McCall

Donzella McCall is a Senior Associate in the Systems and Process Assurance group at PricewaterhouseCoopers, LLP, with 4 years of IT audit experience.
Donzella has been an active student member of NABA since 2001 and a professional member since 2005. Donzella is serving her as the Co-Director of Student Affairs for the Houston Chapter and previously served as the Corresponding Secretary. Prior to joining the Executive Board, Donzella was a member of the Student Affairs and Community Affairs committee for the past 3 years and participates in the planning and facilitating of various chapter events and functions.
Donzella is 2004 graduate of Grambling State University where she majored in Accounting and Computer Information Systems. While at Grambling she served as the VP of Marketing for the student chapter of NABA as well as the President of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc. Donzella is also a member of Information Systems Audit and Controls Association (ISACA).
Fred Guilbeaux

Fred Guilbeaux, native of Lafayette, LA, is a graduate of University of Louisiana with a Bachelors of Science degree in Accounting.
Currently, Fred works in the Internal Audit group at Live Nation. Prior to working for Live Nation, Fred worked for RSM McGladrey in the financial reporting group and The Rand Group as an ERP Consultant.
Fred has been an active member of the NABA professional chapter since 2001 serving as the Corresponding Secretary and VP of Community Affairs. In his current position as Director of Membership, Fred plans to work with the president and the other board members to develop a strategic plan for membership. Fred will be responsible for implementing a plan for membership recruitment and a retention program that will address the professional needs of its members.
Outside of NABA, Fred is also a member of the Houston Institute of Internal Auditors and he volunteers his time to the American Red Cross.
Eric Moses,

Eric Moses, CPA, and CIA a native of New Orleans, Louisiana graduated from Grambling State University with a dual-degree in Accounting and Information Systems. Eric is currently pursuing an EMBA from Texas A&M University. Eric began his career with PricewaterhouseCoopers in Tulsa, Oklahoma and later moved to Houston, TX with Sirius Solutions as a Sarbanes Oxley consultant for various Multi-National Energy clients with travel within the US, UK, Germany, Russia, Mexico, Canada, and Venezuela.
After several years in consulting, He is currently working at Shell Trading in Houston, TX within the Governance, Risk, and Assurance Team. Eric is the GRA Testing Lead – North America, he overseas the testing program for Crude, Products, Gas, and Power commodities trading, both physical and financial deals. Additionally, Eric is actively involved in the Shell recruiting process in addition to serving on the Board of Shell Emerging Leaders of Finance for US businesses. Eric has been active in NABA over the past 10 years at both the student and professional level and served in various leadership roles, he is currently the Finance Co-chair for the Houston Chapter.
Rosco Graves

Rosco is a Principal Accountant within the Exploration & Production group at El Paso Corporation with primary responsibilities in financial planning, analysis and reporting. Prior to joining El Paso, Rosco spent 7 years at Deloitte in the Audit and Enterprise Risk Services Practice serving clients in the oil & gas, oilfield services and manufacturing sectors.
Rosco was first introduced to NABA at the University of Houston and held various positions within the student chapter while obtaining a BBA in Accounting. Apart from his employment, Rosco is a member of The Church Without Walls and actively serves in providing opportunities to local youth.
Reginald Patterson, CPA

Reginald Patterson is a 1995 Honors graduate of Texas Southern University in Houston, Texas, where he earned a BBA Degree with a concentration in Accounting. Reginald is a Certified Public Accountant, licensed in the State of Texas since 2001. He is currently considering attending Graduate School in the Houston area.
Reginald is currently employed at UHY Advisors as a Manager in its Tax Department. His public accounting background primarily focuses on Federal and State tax compliance where he performs various services for Corporations. Reginald works with clients with FAS 109, fixed assets, and other technical issues. His clients have various industry backgrounds – energy, real estate, service, small businesses, and etc. He also performs services for partnerships, trusts, estates, and individuals. Before joining UHY Advisors, he worked at Wilson Financial Group, Inc. for 4 years in the Accounting/Tax Department.
Reginald is a member of American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA), Texas Society of Certified Public Accountants (TSCPA-Houston Chapter), National Association of Black Accountants (NABA), and Texas Southern University Alumni Association, Inc. (Treasurer). He also sits on the Advisory Board for the Jesse H. Jones School of Business at Texas Southern University.
Ronnie Alexander, CPA

Ronnie Alexander, a native of Dallas, Texas, is currently a manager in the business advisory services group at Grant Thornton LLP. He has over 20 years of internal audit and compliance experience in financial services, manufacturing, and oil and gas industries. Before joining Grant Thornton, he was an Assistant Vice President in Internal Audit and Investment Management Compliance at JP MorganChase, one of the world’s largest financial services companies.
Ronnie is a 1982 graduate of Texas Southern University (TSU) where he obtained a BBA in Accounting. While at TSU, he marched in the Ocean of Soul and is a life member of Kappa Kappa Psi National Honorary Band Fraternity. Ronnie also obtained an MBA in General Business from Amberton University. He is a Certified Public Accountant (Texas) and a Certified Trust Auditor. In addition to NABA, Ronnie is a member of the AICPA, the Institute of Internal Auditors (IIA), the Fiduciary & Investment Management Risk Association (FIRMA), and a life member of the Texas Southern University National Alumni Association (TSUNAA).

Billy Williams is currently a Manager with KPMG LLP in Houston where he has spent 5 years in the Audit practice. During his time at KPMG, Billy has mainly worked within the firm’s consumer and industrial markets practice with focus on manufacturing and software development companies. Billy is a National Instructor for KPMG as well as a member of their Training and Methodology Team. Billy is currently a board member of the KPMG-Houston Diversity Council.
Billy has been an active member of the NABA professional chapter since 2003. He is serving his first term as an officer as the webmaster for the Houston Chapter. He has actively participated in the past National Conventions as well as conducted sessions as a presenter or co-presenter since 2003.
Billy is a graduate of Sam Houston State University and is a Certified Public
Accountant licensed to practice accountancy in the state of Texas. Billy is also
a member of Texas Society of CPA’s, Houston Society of CPA’s, American Institute
of Certified Public Accountants, and Omega Psi Phi Fraternity Incorporated.
