Position
The Senior of Internal Controls & Process Improvement should have at least 2-5 years experience in a public accounting or internal audit. The Senior Internal Controls professional should have excellent interpersonal, communication, and computer skills as well as strong organizational, problem solving and analytical skills. He/she should have a thorough knowledge of the internal audit profession, audit techniques, and a strong interest in the oilfield services industry and doing business internationally. Ability to travel internationally should be (30-35%).

Areas of Responsibility:

  • Utilize business knowledge and internal control experience to plan, develop and perform projects as required.
  • Participate in testing the internal control processes, objectives and activities implemented by the Company as part of the Sarbanes-Oxley compliance effort.
  • Coordinate and consult with operations, finance and administrative personnel regarding possible improvements to internal accounting controls, policies and procedures.
  • Fully document and report to management the findings and recommendations resulting from procedures performed.
  • Appraise the adequacy of management’s actions to address control deficiencies.
  • Participate in work groups, task forces, committees, and project teams as a liaison.
  • Maintain a strong focus on the latest trends and best practices within BJ and the oilfield services industry.
  • Perform special projects as directed.

Compensation:

  • Target Base Salary $60,000-$85,000

Position
This position is responsible for Financial Reporting & Analysis for the North American natural gas marketing, Global LNG and shipping business.

Areas of Responsibility:

  • Review, analysis and reporting of various units of assets performance to Group Finance, Region and Asset management. Liaising closely with business unit accounting teams to understand business performance. Liaising closely with other team members to understand budget/plan assumptions and performance of business against this budget / plan.
  • Assist in developing asset reporting environment and improvement and re-organization of current processes. Ensuring reporting infra-structure (all reporting related systems) is maintained to allow efficient reporting processes.
  • Review and analysis of operating unit balance sheet. Preparation of cash-flow’s for operating units. Assist in ensuring adequacy of internal financial controls. Assist in ensuring adherence to governance framework.

Requirements:
Accounting/Business degree, qualified accountant (CPA, CMA, etc.). Minimum of 2-3 years  experience (preferably in oil and gas industry). Strong in analytical skills, detail oriented, focused on teamwork, research and problem solving skills, computer skills (financial systems, word, excel, power point), communication skills, question and challenge attitude, strong follow-through and capability to deliver important information to asset and group management .

Compensation
Target Base Salary $60,000-$75,000. Target Bonus 15% - Stretch 45%. 401K Match, 100% up to 6% of eligible pay. Health Club Reimbursement $130/month. Childcare reimbursement 50% up to $400/month.

Position
This position is responsible for the preparation and analysis of the external and internal financial reporting.   • Preparation of GAAP financial statements for the consolidated entity and various subsidiaries

  • Assist in SEC filings related to equity and debt offerings
  • Ensure detailed compliance with Sarbanes/Oxley 404 controls and procedures
  • Effectively interact with financial reporting, regulatory reporting, internal auditors and external auditors

  • responding to information requests from other EOG departments,
  • recording property sales, acquisitions and exchanges,
  • preparing a variety of special purpose reports.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree is required. Accounting degree is preferred; Must have at least ten years operations accounting experience.
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office applications, COPAS Accounting Procedures, SFAS 143, SFAS 19 and GAAP. Experience with Artesia Data Systems would be a plus.
  • In addition to technical knowledge to perform tasks, applicant must have interpersonal skills to deal with diverse groups in headquarters and operating divisions.

Compensation

Senior Internal Auditor will assist the Director of Internal Audit in planning and executing a program of internal audits in accordance with the Internal Audit Charter. The auditor will identify internal control deficiencies as well as opportunities to enhance operational efficiency and effectiveness and will communicate these results in written audit reports.

The auditor will be expected to have written and oral communication skills necessary to deal with all levels of management, and will be expected to have strong audit, accounting, and financial analysis experience. Candidates must have a Bachelors degree in Accounting.

Position
Record revenue and remit royalties for oil and gas sales associated with company and outside operated properties in Texas and New Mexico. Review and process division of interest changes received from Land Administration. Monitor gas balancing, pipeline imbalances, and prepare related entries. Perform account reconciliation and analysis on revenue related general ledger accounts including accounts receivable. Respond to royalty owners’ inquiries and work on special projects.

Requirements:

  • Approximately 5 or more years experience in oil and gas revenue accounting.
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting preferred; a business related degree may be considered.
  • Be proficient in Word and Excel.
  • Knowledge of Access, Artesia Software, or AS/ 400 query is a plus.
  • Ability to consistently meet deadlines and to work effectively in a team organization.
  • Must possess strong analytical and communication skills.
